The play yard is over an acre, fenced with 4' high fencing and contains a puppy playground, gazebo, tunnel, and lots of shade on the deck for relaxing. There is also approximately 6 more fenced acres for dogs to run in.

The Dog Ranch is our dog’s home away from home! Kathy takes such good care of the dogs in her care that we feel completely comfortable and relaxed knowing that our baby is at The Ranch during our travels. He has the opportunity to play, interact and socialize with the other dogs on the property during his visit. Because Ruger is so social, this is a vital service that Kathy provides. The only place I trust or put my name behind!! The Dog Ranch is clean, safe and full of love. As a Dog Trainer I always worry about where my clients kennel. I have seen horrible behavior issues after a long kennel stay BUT NOT HERE! They get to play in a large fenced yard. With minimal kenneling and small groups your dog will feel like its at Summer Camp and not a kennel. Your Dog will want you to go on vacation more often!Durango Dog College

I have been using Kathy at The Dog Ranch from the very start of her business. Kathy was my professional dog trainer for our gal "Meg Ryan", and when I heard she was doing dog boarding on her property, I was ecstatic. I love the way that Kathy cares for our beloved pet, with no cages, plenty of doggie playground equipment, and lots of pups to play with. She posts daily videos on Facebook so we can see what Meg is up to. Meg loves it there. A great way to get socialization experience with Kathy's dogs, her cat Cedar, and even her Cockatoo, Frosty! The Dog Ranch is the only place I will leave my dog when we travel.Marcie R.

Kathy does a fabulous job caring for our dog, Meg in her home while we're away. No cages, lots of room to run and play, and Kathy's two dogs, Peach and Red, are wonderful playmates for our gal. We receive regular updates from Kathy on what's new with the dogs, with videos of them playing, doing some practice "sit stays" for treats, and just cuddling up on the couch. I first met Kathy H. When she co taught a manners class at Durango Dog College. My 8 month terrier/husky mix was a little anxious and fearful. Kathy won her trust and she started coming out of her shell. Kathy soon moved closer to my home and sponsored some doggie play dates for small dogs. Once again Kathy showed her skill in working with fearful dogs. This summer she kept our fur baby for two nights. She had never stayed away from us overnight away from home but she knew Kathy and was comfortable and happy. She even snuggled with her at bedtime. I highly recommend Kathy. Kathy is one of the only people I would trust to leave my dogs with. Her background as a dog trainer makes for an excellent babysitter. She knows when to stop play if it’s getting too rough and she will keep certain manners intact while you’re gone. She has a fully fenced in yard and is a loving caring person who even allows your dog to sleep in the bed with her. Your dogs might not want to come home from Kathy‘s camp. Traci M.
